A neighbourhood with a special story
After the fireworks disaster on 13 May 2000, the neighbourhood arose like a Phoenix from its ashes. After the initial years of rebuilding, a neighbourhood has emerged that in all respects can boast of its results with its innovative and sometimes controversial architecture and the omnipresent glimpses into the textile industry past.
City planning with ideas of inhabitants at the basis and the history as a source: on 24 November 2007 Enschede won the Gouden Piramide (Gold Pyramid)- a government award for excellence in commissioning work in architecture.

Perhaps you are considering to combine the tour with an overnight stay or another cultural activity? Don’t hesitate to ask!
